Looking for interest in additional regular season ice

Thanks to all those that have registered for the 2020-2021 modified hockey season.  If you haven't registered yet, get it in by September 1st!  We know this season isn’t going to look or feel exactly as other years, but we are trying to figure out ways to make it fun and enjoyable while giving the girls opportunities to continue to develop on their hockey journey.

We are working to balance safety and cost with offering players opportunities to play hockey. CKGHA registration fees will be used to cover OWHA fees and an allocation of one ice time per week per group. We recognize that for many girls that have played competitive hockey in the past, there is a desire for more ice time.

As the Municipality of Chatham-Kent has not changed their ice allocation and usage policy, the CKGHA is required to commit to ice from September 21 until March 31 with limited ability to return unused ice. To understand how much ice time players are interested in, we would appreciate you completing a short survey that we will use when requesting ice from the municipality.

The survey is for information and planning purposes. As noted in the registration information, group assessment fees may be added to cover additional ice time and cost (ice and officials) for games when permitted.
