Message from Coach
I would like to take this opportunity to share a few thoughts before tryouts begin.  First, I would like to thank you for taking the time to consider a tryout for the Chatham-Kent Crush U15 AA/A club.

This year there will be a large group of players competing for a limited number of positions. I would ask that parents make sure that your daughter is fully prepared to compete at the highest level. With only three practices and one exhibition game (inhouse or other) scheduled to select this year’s team, decisions will be made as efficiently as possible.

You should be aware that I have asked numerous non-stakeholders to be a part of the evaluation process.   I have chosen a group of individuals that possess excellent hockey knowledge and will combine their input with the coaching staff regarding team selection.

During the tryout process the evaluation team and I will be looking for those individuals who are competitive, display leadership and sportsmanship, demonstrate advanced hockey knowledge and understanding, are coachable and have an eagerness to learn.

Our coaching staff has a large body of hockey knowledge with over 40 years of experience playing at the Minor hockey, Junior C, Junior B and Canadian University level. With over 20 years of combined coaching experience at the Junior and Minor hockey levels, I feel we will improve every aspect of your daughter’s ability.

Finally, if you want your daughter to participate and the spots in “Signup Genius” are full, contact either myself ([email protected]) or Team Manager - Stephanie Fife ([email protected]) and we will do our best to find an opportunity for your athlete to compete.

Please refer to the calendar for tryout times and best of luck to all skaters during the try-out process.
